Tommy White

BIOGRAPHY

Biography


       Tommy White, born in Detroit, received his M.F.A. from Clemson University in the discipline of painting and a B.A. from Michigan State University in ceramics.  His work is included in many private collections as well as the permanent collections of the Mobile Museum of Art in Alabama, Crayola LCC, and the Capital One Corporation.  He has exhibited in twenty-four states, the District of Columbia, Melbourne, Australia, and Seoul, South Korea.  Prior to moving to Denver, Colorado in 2014, Tommy chaired the painting department at the Cleveland Institute of Art, taught painting and drawing at the University of Oklahoma and served as an educator and administrator at Virginia Commonwealth University.  He maintains a professional working studio in Parker, Colorado.
