The Art Store presents a new group exhibition to kick off the fall season titled, Repurposed. This show will feature thirty contemporary, regional artists who have created a new piece of art from an existing object, or have created new function for an object or art piece.

The Repurposed opening will begin at 6:00pm, Saturday, October 3, 2015 at The Art Store and will host a Gallery Talk by Mark Blumenstein at 6:30pm. The exhibit will be on display during regular business hours and will be on display during the October 15th ArtWalk from 5 – 8:00pm.

Mark Blumenstein is an experienced sculptor having made his career repurposing found objects into fine works of art. At first Mark used old farm machinery and springs, parts of old wood burning stoves and bicycles for sculpture. He then expanded to include unique, whimsical silver sculpture and has more recently created abstract kinetic pieces. Please join us as he shares his experience in repurposing objects into art at the Repurposed opening October 3rd.

The Art Store is located in the Downtown District of Charleston at 233 Hale Street. Hours are Tuesday – Friday 10- 5:30; Saturday 10-5. For further information please call 304-345-1038 or visit us online at
