Last Chance to view George Snyder: Metropolitan; Jonathan’s Spoons on Sale

The Art Store will feature Metropolitan, a solo exhibition of works by renowned artist, George Snyder on display during FestivALL’s ArtWalk June 23rd and during the Go to Hale block party event June 25th. The exhibition consists of three-dimensional and canvas artworks that blend bold colors with realism and abstract expressionism. All works are for sale and very unique. Snyder grew up in South Charleston and received is BA from Marshall University and MFA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is an active artist and currently resides in West Virginia. The exhibit will officially close on June 28th.

Jonathan’s Spoons by Pennsylvania artisan and woodworker Jonathan Simon will be on sale at The Art Store during both events. Simon creates a variety of cherry wood utensils that are great to display or use daily in the kitchen. They are designed to fit your hand perfectly and are very durable. He offers a selection of warm cherry wood tones with flame-blacked stripes and spots.

New exhibit, George Snyder: Metropolitan at The Art Store

The Art Store is pleased to present Metropolitan, a solo exhibition of works by renowned artist, George Snyder. The exhibition will consist of three-dimensional and canvas artworks that blend bold colors with realism and abstract expressionism. Metropolitan will open Saturday, May 14th with an artist talk at 6:30 p.m.  A reception to honor the artist will follow until 7:30 p.m. The Metropolitan exhibit will continue to be displayed through June 28, 2016.

Benjy Davies Now Represented at The Art Store

We would like to officially welcome Benjy Davies to The Art Store as a newly represented artist. Benjy teaches Graphic Design and Printmaking at the University of Rio Grande. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from The Ohio State University and his Master of Fine Arts from Ohio University. He has exhibited in over 200 regional, national and international exhibitions. In 2003, he founded Lucky Man Press, a studio for the creation of original fine art lithography.

The Art Store is pleased to present Botanical Life, a solo exhibition of new paintings by artist, Edward Kellogg. A preview of Botanical Life will be available to the public during Charleston’s ArtWalk Thursday, March 17th from 5-8 p.m. The exhibition will officially open on the following Saturday, March 19, 2016, with a reception from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m., featuring an artist talk from Kellogg at 6:30 p.m.
